The YAHAS are church members and their friends, 50 years of age or older, who enjoy sharing new experiences within a caring, faith-based fellowship.

 

Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m.  Programs consist of a short business meeting, a delicious luncheon--catered or potluck--followed by a devotional, travelogue, performance or other presentation of interest.  Each month there is a different meal theme and mission focus.

 

Throughout the year, day trips are planned to local sites and places of interest.  These have included: plays and musicals, museums, industry tours, and attractions.   Most day  trips include a stop at a nice restaurant for lunch or dinner.

 

Throughout the year, guest speakers and performances are scheduled at the church as special evening or weekend events.  These have included: musical performances, local celebrities, and issue oriented speakers.

 

During the months of September through May, short and long-term Bible studies are scheduled during daytime hours.  The studies vary in topic and when they are offered, so one should keep an eye on the monthly church newsletter, The Presence, or the weekly church bulletin, Opportunities, for new class opportunities.
